http://www.codeproject.com/useritems/EvolutionaryFramework.asp#xx487761xx[^] Some of the non articles have been pretty dire on code project but this has to be the most pathetic ever, Not only is it a non article it's a statement saying that at some undetermined point in the future the author may or may not have something to say on the subject but he's posting an article to tell us that right at this very moment he definately doesn't have much to say and so far has absolutely no code to back up his complete lack of statements. You are hearby warned that I intend to right everything I have nothing to say on this subject right now but as long as I live for ever I'm sure I'll think of something. As for u lot u may as well pack up your compilers and go home now cause I've got it covered. No honestly I mean it. Anthony www.TonysOpenSource.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk

Yes, andi t's not even a new concept. I studied this stuff back in college (and I've been out of school nearly 5 years now..) We called them 'genetic algorithms', but it's the same concept. We did have a cool class compeition with these things, where everyone developed 'creatures' and battled others in the class. Mine did pretty badly. :-O "When a man sits with a pretty girl for an hour, it seems like a minute. But let him sit on a hot stove for a minute and it's longer than any hour. But isn't it just the cleverest thing? Life man. With a machine. I managed to convince myself that building a machine that solved the problem that I unconsciously built into it onto the first place made me right smart. Still have a hangover. Ryan

Read my lips - n o n e w r u l e s. I agree with moderated and non-moderated articles - we already have this. In addition I propose state(s): - draft, - request for comment, and - published. This is meant to inform people about the quality and state of articles. Compliant with the demand published articles might receive larger space on initial page. But all this should be of informative nature to the consumer (us, the readers). We should still have the ability to read everything! This is similar to "genetically modified food label" - you can buy it, it just needs to be correctly labeled. Kind Regards, Tomaz
