The question is of course [The Lounge] If your dog eats your SIM card... (will it get dissolved before it comes out?)[^] As it turns out, a SIM card can pass through your canine companion without being damaged. After patiently checking the output from your furry friend for a few days before finally locating it like a prize in a box of cereal, taking the SIM card through a rigorous cleaning process and then popping it back in the phone will restore full functionality to your phone. This does raise a new question: How long does it take before you can look back at this and laugh about it?

Not long at all. I'm laughing about it right now.

One question, one comment. Q) What was on the SIM card that required retrieval? C) You need a life. :)

Not really sure. It is my wife's phone. I had taken the SIM card out because I was replacing the broken screen on her phone.

I have heard about those, but I have a wife, two dogs and a fairly busy job, so that is where most of my time goes.

I take it that they didn't use [an old 1990's SIM card](http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Upxl4gESRKA/T2uDkYrQP5I/AAAAAAAAAU8/QKqkZLK5rSA/s1600/PK5\_7072-klein.jpg)?

Now is it bad enough that you let somebody else kick your butts without you trying to do it to each other? Now if we're all talking about the same man, and I think we are... it appears he's got a rather growing collection of our bikes.

I have that shirt as well. When you said "the wife's sim card", it all became very clear. Does she know the extent to which you have gone to recover the sim card? Now, it could be that you have these kinds of dogs: Chihuahua[^] in whihc case not too impressive. In the other hand, you might have two of these:Newfoundland[^] in which case, I salute you sir. I hope she was worth the effort. :)

Next question should be... "What about my cat... hmmm?"
