No they don't, and that's kind of the point of the executive order[^] that was reversed. It changed the regulation over WHERE they were allowed to build. There's no point in reversing that order unless 1. You make a point in reversing everything Obama did. B. You're a luddite. III. Well, it's Trump, what do you expect?

Don't misunderstand - I agree with the substance of the executive order. I've said the same thing after any number of hurricanes. Don't rebuild the same old crap. Prepare for the next hurricane. I just think that is common sense and shouldn't require an executive order. As for Trump cancelling this executive order... I suspect it was mostly #1 with a touch of AGW denial.

While all politicians are arseholes, they are mostly unknown outside of their own countries. The President of the United States is one of the few exceptions, which is probably why everyone enjoys laughing at him.
