    Hi there! Think it sounds like a newbie question, but have anyone figured out what GNU means? Does it really mean GNU is not UNIX?? X| What does the next GNU mean ?? GNU is not UNIX is not UNIX??             Yes, it's a recursive acronym for 'Gnu's not Unix'. It's geek humour.

                              For anyone interested, there are a couple of good books (and a DVD) that I recommend:

                              • Rebel Code: Linux and the Open Source Revolution[^]
                              • Free as in Freedom: Richard Stallman's Crusade for Free Software[^]
                              • Revolution OS DVD/VHS[^]

                              I would actually recommend reading/viewing them in that order as you'll get more out of the latter two if you have a general knowledge of open source / free software and who the major players are. Chris LaQuerre eBusiness Consultant
