First Microsoft changes the command window colors and now this? Tech breakthroughs are moving at the speed of light here. When my grandkids are on their devices I'll be bringing up the "Back in my day we were limited to 140 characters while walking up hill both ways." I'll know we've finally arrived when they come out with a plastic bag emoji to pick up after the poo emoji.

Oh great. Trump's rants will be longer. Maybe he can be still be limited to 140 chars. Better yet, 0 chars. Sorry for SB-y post.

You should copyright that.. that does sound very, very possible..
Now is it bad enough that you let somebody else kick your butts without you trying to do it to each other? Now if we're all talking about the same man, and I think we are... it appears he's got a rather growing collection of our bikes.

Isn't the whole point of Twitter - assuming that it has one - that it's custom made for people whose attention spans fizzle out somewhere round the 140 character mark? Any attempt to lengthen that will just push "#TLDR" to the top of the trending #Twit-tag list.
98.4% of statistics are made up on the spot.

New Twitter! Now, twice as twitty!
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack. --Winston Churchill

This is an absolutely horrible idea. The entire soul of Twitter is in the brevity of expression. Allowing users to write longer 1/many
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies. -- Sarah Hoyt
