Gotcha, just updated my cached info, but it's only as recent as Jan 2012 now. Although, after a quick google fu, turns out thar be sources that are more recent that offer zip/postal code data. So there's hope for UPS et al... Postal Codes 97003[^] As a bonus, seems you share a zip with Mexico and Guadeloupe.

So what's the deal.. I wouldn't expect you would need to update your zip code database manually. I figured the USPS sold zip code databases, and everybody updated from those from time to time. Is that not the case, or is this just your personal zip code database? Oh, and I'd have said something other than "Beaverton" for the 97003 zip code.. so its probably good you went and got that from a more authoritative source :) And.. you didn't mention if you got the other new zip code too? Just curious.

I live in Oregon, and I'm an engineer.

Websites that offer shipping to countries other than the US, but then require you to choose your State/Province from a dropdown that only includes US States.

It's my personal DB I keep around for the odd times when I need to validate stuff. If it was for a live production site I'd update more than once a decade.

There's so many non kid sister friendly jokes that can made about that.

Probably not. My quick update was in the same format which went back to 2012. To use that 2017 data I'd need to cook up a new import. Which I will... when I'm not being lazy (as in not looking for a new job).

97078 is the other new one. I can never remember what it is, so I had to look it up:

..the U.S. Postal Service is creating two new ZIP Codes in the Beaverton/Aloha area, effective July 1, 2014. The new ZIP Codes are 97003 and 97078.

This says 2014, but I'm sure its been longer than that.. I must be having a señor moment.

Red Rose Tea, as sold in Canada, is an orange pekoe; in the U.S., it's a black tea. Look up the commercials on Youtube. But, I agree with you on the 'State/Province' issue.. quick annoying.

Oh, those. In SSIS there's a drop down that is apparently sorted by the GUIDs of items.

Yes, that one actually hurts me deeply but in order to actually offer prizes to anyone in Quebec we have to go through a bunch of tres annoying stuff that makes us just put our head in our hands. Read more at Why many contests exclude Quebec residents | Financial Post[^]
