VS2013 has decided that it's not going to let me change fonts/colors in source windows. I've REINSTALLED VS, went into tools/options and reset the settings to defaults, but I still cant change them. Any help?

Do you mean that it's impossible to change the colours (i.e., fields are disabled)? Or do you mean that the editor does not reflect the changes you made?

I mean there's no way to do it. When I go into Fonts/colors, source windows is not available. I can choose from All Text Tool Windows [Watch, Locals, and Auto Tools Windows] Autos Windows There are no other options. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and even repairing after reinstalling. I just found a thing that said to run devenv /setup, and thta didn't work. When I try to load VS2013, I get a message about not being able to load the language pack...

That reminds me of a similar problem I had a few years ago when I tried to install the new version of VS while having the previous version at the same time (I think it was VS 2012 with VS 2010, but can't be sure of that a hundred percent); that had completely messed up everything, I lost Intellisense, amongst other things. I can't remember all the details of what I did to try to solve the problem (tried to setup a brand new user profile - didn't work; tried to search in the registry for obvious inconsistencies - nothing is obvious regarding the registry about VS). The only thing I remember is that I ended up with a fresh Windows install. From this day, I never tried to have several versions on the same system anymore; when I want to test for a new version, I now create a new virtual machine. You may not be in the same context as I was then; the only thing I know is once a VS setup is messed up, that's a PITA to try and solve the issue. Maybe, if you get some relevant errors in the system logs, you could try to search from there (having a specific error message or number); but that's pretty much all of I can say about it. I'm sorry not being able to be of a more useful help.

Have you tried downloading and installing the appropriate language page? Downloads - My Visual Studio | Visual Studio 2013 Language Pack[^] Check Tools / Options / Environment / International to see which language is selected.

I suspect that the problem is deeper than that. Up until a couple of months ago, I had VS2008, 2010, and 2013 on my box, along with SQL Server 2008 and 2012. One day, I decided I'd install VS2015, and didn't use it until about 45 days later, at which time it insisted I couldn't use is, so I got mad and uninstalled it. Then, I installed the BIDS stuff for VS2013, and it insisted on installing SQL Server 2014. I didn't WANT 2014, so I uninstalled it, and then decided that I couldn't use the BIDS stuff, so I uninstalled that. Somewhere deep in the lyrics of the song of my people, I hear the phrase, "your system is hosed up dumbass".
