It boggles the mind that anyone would pay a ransom for an attack like this, especially a corporation. I would assume that the machine is totally corrupted, format it back to the bare metal, and reload from a clean backup.

I was under the impression that in California, the Democratic machine votes the illegals, and in Chicago, it votes the graveyard. Was I wrong? :)
