Hi All, Major worries this am, alarm didn't go off, got out of bed late, the train I usually catch gone, the next one cancelled, following one re-timed (read late, but if re-timed they don't have to pay compensation). Being that I work in a small village outside of a city (Bristol) there is a very good train service but being a small commuter village the trains can 'skip' the stop if needed. So a train service is very good gets really bad quick...:~ Ooh look spammers are back!

I am in the middle of changing positions and companies; taking a week of vacation. So... did I get up late? No.. I was up at 4:30, stoke the fire, start the coffee. Then, meet a group for an outdoor workout session at 5:15 - aerobic exercise, running, lifted concrete blocks... back home about 6:15 to have coffee with my wife. Good start to the day; soon, I will be cutting, splitting, stacking firewood - great way to spend vacation time!

Weird. I forgot to turn my alarm of, so of course I got up late. I wonder if this is the work of an alien presence.

That is weiRd my alarm went off 3 times.

Don't let your mind wander too far. It's too small to be let out alone.

I often wake before my alarm goes off. Then I have to stay awake in order to hit snooze when it does.

It has been my habit to meet the group Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning; but Saturday starts at 7:00. I enjoy the exercise and fellowship, and then the coffee to warm me up later. As far as cutting wood, it is my exercise of choice; something I've done my entire life and absolutely enjoy... followed again by coffee.

Isn't this the job you got after a very long time of looking for one? Not sure. Anyhow, I suggest you rethink your "waking up" strategy, as this type of stuff can get you canned from a job real quick - at least where I work. Good luck.

Power cut had taken mains based alarms out, battery backups hadn't really been set this year. Thankfully were flex time.

Ah, yes, public transportation. People keep asking me why I don't rely on it.
