Usually any old thundering Delta Blues tune will do. Not the phony stuff that passes for R&B nowadays. Give me old school stuff from Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon etc. I especially like Steppenwolf's version of "Hoochie Coochie Man"[^]

Sometimes the true reward for completing a task is not the money, but instead the satisfaction of a job well done. But it's usually the money.

A couple years ago, my kid did a project on Muddy Waters for school, so being the responsible parent I took him to the Blues Heaven Foundation[^] at the site of the old Chess records building in Chicago. Where I talked with Willie Dixons grandson, and played his bass for a little while, it was pretty darn cool. :)

Twitter is where you tell the truth to strangers." - chriselst "I don't drink any more... then again, I don't drink any less." - Mike Mullikins uncle

Yeah, I'm a little jealous right now. :)

Whats your favourite tune to get the morning kicked off and ramped up to max mode? This is mine, I crank it up on my Rotel amp and JMlab speakers, and it is awesome: George Thorogood "Move It On Over" - YouTube[^]

My favorite is my vibrating wristwatch. Tried waking up with music, failed. When music plays, I integrate that into my dreams instead of waking up.

Ah, OK. I wake up when I want, but love this tune to crank up first thing when I make my green tea. Really kicks the day off with a smile! :)

The alarm on my iPhone is AC/DC's Who Made Who (12" Extended Mix) from the deluxe edition of their Backtracks album. AC/DC - Who Made Who (12" Version) [HQ] - YouTube[^] If that doesn't wake you up I don't know what will.

The only time I've used an alarm clock in the last 25 years or so is when I'm traveling and I have an early flight. I despise alarms of all shapes and sizes. I get migraines X|, and one of the keys to managing them is ensuring I get enough sleep. If I need to sleep in an extra 15 or 30 minutes in the morning, I do it. As it is, I'm usually the first one in to work at 7:00 a.m or so.

Pretty much anything by Sully Erna and Godsmack will get your blood moving, but this is my favourite: Godsmack - Drum Battle - Sully Erna vs Shannon Larkin (HD)[^]

I rarely use alarm - flexible work hour I suppose. Alexa waits me up when alarm is necessary.

Don't need an alarm clock, dogs and cats are on that. But just in terms of getting the mood up getting your steam on I like Elvis Costello's "This Year's Model". IMO it's one of those rare albums where every track is great. "Pump It Up" however is a shot of pure adrenaline.

I used to wake up to Sonny&Cher, “I got you, babe” but I could never get moving forward with it.

If I needed to get amped up on the drive in it will be Rush, Boston, Van Halen (not Van Hagar), Robin Trower, etc. This is a great waker-upper. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTZHHQplIX8 "Just one more morning, I have to wake up with the blues..."
