I didn't know this service was available, but an email today alerted me to the fact that Google[^] makes a great marketing tool. It may only apply to US numbers, but if you enter your phone number and area code, separated by dashes - it will not only return your address, but will also include a map to your house! So far it's returned the correct address for every phone number I've entered except those that I know to be unlisted and cell phones. Here in the US we have to pay an extra fee each month to have our phone numbers not publicly listed, so most don't bother - what a scam! Check yours and see just how easy you are to find... X| BTW - If you click on the phone icon next to your name on the result page, it will take you to a link where you can demand that they remove your listing from the directory.:) "Please don't put cigarette butts in the urinal. Isn't this just cutting out the middleman? I suppose most phone companies have this service on their webpage, so what's the difference? /moliate

This explains why I got so many calls on my old phone number, 401-886-4163, for: Automobile Racing Cars, Rizzo Ford Racing And I had that number for more than a year! I'm totally cell-phone based now. The great thing is, no solicitors? How do they know, BTW? Are cell-phone prefixes off limits to solicitation? By law? I mean, I'd sue their tooshies if they called, wasting my valuable minutes! Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.

I did not know Google was doing this, but I did know of other sites that did a reverse phone number search. John

Yahoo search uses Google, I think the Yahoo People search actually predates Yahoo using Google. But I'm not sure. Matt

I think Yahoo! supplement their own results with Google, or at least that is what I read someone one cold dark night.

If you know the name, city and state, it will return the number. Type in "Jason Henderson, Effingham IL" to test it. Don't call me though. ;)

Nope, but I do work pretty close to there :omg:. Unfortunately, my name isn't listed anywhere (I tried it too). You can try "Michael Kawell, Elko MN"; that's one of the guys I live with. But, we never answer our house phone, especially the "Out of Area" calls.  Chris Richardson
