Pretty sure he was the last in a long line of peoples that discovered the Americas... The Vikings and the Chinese amongst many and, of course, the native Indians who crossed the Bering Straits many thousands of years ago.

Did any of them speak Italian? Oh, you forgot the Templars who went to bury tresures on Oak Island ... or was that after?

So how many people now realize that Christopher Columbus was Jewish. Also, that there is no picture of Christopher Columbus from his time ([^]. One of the many lies in your history books. Even Wikipedia cannot get it right. He apparently could not even speak Italian.

Actually, he set sail sponsored by that very same lady who brought on the Spanish Inquisition. Although one could argue she filled a ship with Jews, hoping they'd fall off the end of the earth, that defies the purpose of the inquisition, which was to grab property for the catholic church and royal family. Shipping them out made no financial sense. Church sanctioned murder was much cheaper. I've heard your claim at other times - but it's doubtful. She'd never give anything to a group she was taught to hate from her childhood, vilified by her church, and otherwise not the type of person the royal family of spaid would do business with.

                    Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!

I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats. His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

Sort of - many of the people subject to the inquisition would pretend to convert to Catholicism whilst practicing their original faith in secret. Marrano - Wikipedia[^]

It says a lot about the importance of Jews of the time, and how much Europeans owe the Jews. I am not Jewish, but they did provide important services, including map making (which is apparently what Christopher Columbus, or Colom, was).
