There's a link in that text to The Back Room (which seems to be empty and defunct now). Should possibly be changed to The Soapbox?!?!? Is that also a mission for you, @Sean-Ewington?

When I joined CP there was no Soapbox topic all general topics were posted here at the Lounge not even General Indian Section, so after that I never shown much interest in any of the political topics, but this case has moved me - just unimaginable. Yes I am calm, there is nothing it makes me to not to be calm - I believe in Mahatma Gandhijis principles, but we need to talk, discuss and learn then only daemonic behaviors stop - that's all I wanted to say. Yes if someone can move it to SoapBox I am fine - if they want me to delete it I am fine too. Thanks, Abdul Aleem "There is already enough hatred in the world lets spread love, compassion and affection."

Your emotions are justified, but not everyone in this forum would be interested in discussing the topic at hand (and that should not be a surprise). The correct place of this thread is General Indian Topics and even there if you do not get the expected response (outrage) then try to cope with it. People have the right to take notice or ignore whatever they want.

Inappropriate for the Lounge: this belongs in The Soapbox Discussion Boards[^] or more likely in General Indian Topics Discussion Boards[^]

They should make you a moderator for the Lounge, or at least give you the ability to move posts to other forums, etc.

You know right? How many people are being killed just in suspicion of having Beef in lot of situations they are poor diary farmers belong to minority community mostly Muslims in India. I put it here to let people from other countries to know it, in the end when people discuss about other peoples grievances only would help. This mans family is very poor family, severely effected that's why I posted here. Thanks, Abdul Aleem "There is already enough hatred in the world lets spread love, compassion and affection."

People really would be rather numb to your post. After all, throughout the middle-East, those not of the Muslim faith are frequently and forcefully subjected to their laws. Consider the Yazidi[^]. All they did was - happen to be alive. By comparison, your post is a mere drop in the atrocity bucket.

In Rakhbars case, he was taking Cows for milk not for killing them. If some one wants to eat Beef, he would carry Bulls not Cows, in fact it usually said that Bulls meat would be tastier over Cow, even if he carries Cows he will carry only Older Cows, because young milking Cows would be very expensive, no one would spend a lot of money for just eating meat for couple of days or week. First they beaten him in the middle of the night when no-body was there, nobody asked him what was the reason he was carrying the Cows for? then they killed him to hide the people who were behind it, then they cover-up with Politicians and Police then they started putting a blame on him as he was taking Cows for Beef after his death, to a poor family? I am not sure those guys have some consciousness of guilt that to what level they have fallen? Have a little bit of shame And the Vishwa Hindu Parishat (Gau Rakshak Dal) guy who's saying that Police killed Rakhbar in custody, he should be interrogated first, because he is showing Picture of healthy Rakhbar in Jeep, why would some one take a picture in the middle of the night when so many people have surrounded the victim, why does he need a proof of picture? is the picture taken before beating him, was it discussed before-hand on the advice of some officials or etc? it all looks a staged conspiracy to kill an innocent man, harming a poor family. And yes there is undoubtedly Police role there. We need to find out why is his name being called as Akbar when his family is calling him as Rakhbar? Is that aka Akbar added to get support and to justify killing? Until people follow the case properly to give justice to that family, that poor family won't get any justice. Today it is Rakhbar tomorrow it can be anybody of our own can be Ram or Shyam or any innocent poor victim. Dear brothers and sisters we the Citizens need to follow it and ask for Justice for the family. That poor family has lost even the small savings that they had Rs 60000, with which Rakhbar bought Cows, that family has lost a little amount that they had along with bread winner of the family - truly sad. Religious people are stupid dangerous extremists. "I am right and you are wrong and I am going to kill you for it" is their mantra. One day, this sad and medieval society will grow up, hopefully sooner than later, though it took the west a long enough time to get there. Hopefully it acts as an example, even though it isnt entirely free of ignorance (Northern Ireland comes to mind).

Dear brothers and sisters we the Citizens need to follow it and ask for Justice for the family. That poor family has lost even the small savings that they had Rs 60000, with which Rakhbar bought Cows, that family has lost a little amount that they had along with bread winner of the family - truly sad. I hope justice is served... well done of course! Amazing that 'civilized' people would worship cows. :omg: Don't get me wrong, I love cows...on a plate. I just have a beef with people who tell their kids bullsh1t like 'California is powered by cow piss'. (maybe not an exact quote)

And the guy who works with me took Friday off to arrange the funeral of his cousin, a cop, who was beaten to death by a mob in some small town in Uttarpradesh. His death was reported as a heart attack. But that sounds like India is the problem - its not, that sort of tragedy happens all over the world. Oh and why is it your duty to rub our noses in it?

Religious people are stupid dangerous extremists. "I am right and you are wrong and I am going to kill you for it" is their mantra. One day, this sad and medieval society will grow up, hopefully sooner than later, though it took the west a long enough time to get there. Hopefully it acts as an example, even though it isnt entirely free of ignorance (Northern Ireland comes to mind).

What - you think the west has grown out of religious fundamentalism, it may not be as volatile but it is still there.

Yes, of course it has, and more than that, it has grown out of religion.
