Exactly, which is what my first post was all about. Christianity encourages you to verify. Glad we can see eye to eye on that one.

That's cute. Go ahead, prove them wrong. I'll wait. But I won't hold my breath.

You keep referring to the Catholic Church, not the Christian religion. Huge difference.

No, it doesn't, it is based on this thing called belief.

Both based on the same false premise, both perpetuate their fantasy. We have adults making up new stuff to defend that fantasy, claiming it to be "truth".

And another way to defend your false belief; lying to yourself to protect your valuable nonsense instead of actually trying to quantify my experience or understanding. And then you base your life-decisions on such lies and dare to suggest it has a place in the future of mankind. And since we're at it; God is "everywhere" and "everything". So this is just me, God, rambling against you how I do not exist. It would be heresy to claim otherwise if you believe in the Christian concept of God.

I can see this is hard for you so I'll spell it out a little slower. Christ taught things. We believe that. However, he said if you wanted to know if what he taught is true, then to test it. You cannot get more free thinking than that. I see you have a lot of anger towards religion. I have no idea what has happened in your past, but I can tell you that God does exist and that he loves you and that he knows you on a personal level. And you can know if he is real too. Simple.

Oh, I see. Because bad things exist then God cannot exist. Ya, that's real free thinking there. It is true; there is no evidence for any of it outside the bible. And the bible itself is hearsay which was penned down hundreds of years after. You know that game were kids in a circle whisper something to their neighbour and a complete other story emerges at the end? :)

A little more than that; if God exists and is omnipotent, then he is the source of all suffering.

I'm not asking my children to pray to me as if I'm almighty.

You should fammiliarize yourself with Book of Mormon | LDS.org[^]. It also is a testament of Christ written by people living in America. Although not official scripture, there is also Quetzalcóatl.
Eddy Vluggen wrote:

Not true. It was compiled and translated later on by King James from the original writings. But yes, this is why some of it is not totally accurate. It was translated by some dudes.

I've heard people make this argument before and it makes no sense. Surely you are smarter than this, right? If I punch you, is that God's fault? :wtf:
Eddy Vluggen wrote:

Clearly you are far from almighty. ;) But what you do not understand is that prayer is not for His sake, it is for ours. Look Eddy, it's really simple. Either God exists or he doesn't. And there is a way to find out if he does. Why are so many people afraid of finding out the truth? That puzzles me.

Not a testament; none of them were there to write down his actual words - so hearsay from a period centuries later than the bible, which came centuries after the supposed existing man.

Well, you can combine fantasy as much as you like. Throw some aliens in there too, for good measure. And some goblins.

What I said was very true; the bible is a collection of books without reference to ANYTHING in real history, written hundreds of years after christ. The KjV is an even younger version, an interpretation ratified by the leading fantasy-lore teller from the 16th century.

Correct; the only way out of the statement is to have an Evil God. Which makes no sense either. Occams' razor applies.

If he exists and is as described, then yes. It would also pose another problem if you take your teachings more serious. Since we both are part of God (he is everything), we might conclude that God hits himself.

Talking to an invisible man and hoping for wonders is not a sign of a healthy mind.
