In most places, when the power goes out for a day people don't die. People don't drop dead walking to the store. Cassette tapes and CDs don't melt on the car seat, and you can't fry an egg on the sidewalk in 10 minutes. It happens here every summer, and it's still a month before summer begins. X|

I think you might be knowing this already :~ , but I'll tell you anyway: #1. You should have chosen "Work offline" and hit back. #2. In IE options, there's a box that says "Reuse IE windows for launching shortcuts". Make sure it's unchecked. It might come in handy next time. :) My sympathies.
