Not gonna lie, that actually sounds like a pretty decent plot: When the local authorities refuse to take action over a young boy being abused by a priest, the mother is left with only one option - to make a pact with the devil to take revenge. However, she fails to realise the true cost of employing the dark lord's services... I reckon that could get a solid 4 out of 10 if we go straight to video.

Not everything is remakes or Marvel, just the majority of the Hollywood stuff. The Australian and NZ film industries in particular are doing a sterling job of producing "story based" movies (unlike the "effects based" Hollywood offerings) some of which are seriously good movies. I recommend Last cab to Darwin[^] and The Dressmaker[^]. But there are good movies coming out of Hollywood - just they don't get the hype, and need to be searched for.
