Oops, indeed -- for the journalists. Nobody told them is was a real robot -- nobody told anyone it was a real robot. Except the press, of course. They made complete asses of themselves. Everyone else at the event knew it was just a puppet show; a bit of entertainment. It's nice to know that the steep decline in the quality of journalism isn't confined to the West.

Typical. Russia has not got the technology to produce even a half decent boat, yet they tryo to convince us they are a force to be reckoned with. They arent.

I am afraid that this is what happens when the press, and I use that word lightly, competes for eye-balls on the web. Honest, factual, unbiased news was thrown out the window and replaced with click-bait headlines and the "first to publish online wins" mentality. These are a few of the reasons why I now subscribe to the Wall Street Journal. It's full of reporters actually reporting the news and Opinions are relegated to their own section of the newspaper.

Real robots don't exist, they're a conspiracy by the West intent on destabilizing Mother Russia.

I saw a similar situation, but in reverse, on social media recently. Man gets arrested. Mans picture shows up in the local mug shots along side everyone else who gets arrested, just like they always do. No detes other than regular arrest info, as is standard. Man goes on rant because his warrant was over a civil incident (bill) he was unaware of. People had sent summons to wrong address. Man says that the paper made him out to be a normal criminal by not including details to show how minimal his crime was when posting his mug shot (which they never do, that is a rediculous ask). What happened was a very normal experience with no context added at all. He assumed the context people would attach to it, and then blamed the paper. They were just operating as normal with no malice at all.
