No, not THAT wall... Come the revolution, should it be? - Politicians? - Lawyers? - Insurance salesmen? - Telephone salesmen? - Those people who think I should have said "Salespersons" in the previous two options? - Marketing people? - The person that said at the Golden Globes, in the future, they are only going to make movies where 50% of the people involved are women? (Presumably regardless of talent) Feel free to vote for these or add your own choices (with optional justification)...

        - I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.

As some day it may happen that a victim must be found I've got a little list - I've got a little list Of Corporate offenders who might well be underground And who never would be missed - who never would be missed! There's the pestilential nuisances who show their charts and graphs All people who have flabby hands and irritating laughs All bosses who make up due dates, and floor you with 'em flat All persons who in shaking hands, shake hands with you like that And all those persons who on spoiling power naps insist They'd none of 'em be missed - they'd none of 'em be missed! He's got 'em on the list - he's got 'em on the list And they'll none of 'em be missed - they'll none of 'em be missed There's the Social Media director, and the others of his ilk And the Help Desk "analyst" - I've got him on the list! And the people who drink cappuccino and finish up the milk They never would be missed - they never would be missed! Then the idiot who praises, with enthusiastic tone All companies but this, and every department but his own And the intern from University, who thinks he knows it all And who "doesn't need to test his code", so makes Production fall And that singular anomaly, the lady HR-ist I don't think she'd be missed - I'm sure she'd not he missed! He's got her on the list - he's got her on the list And I don't think she'll be missed - I'm sure she'll not be missed! And that Nisi Prius nuisance, who just now is rather rife The legal analyst - I've got him on the list! All marketers, salesmen, and clowns of public life They'd none of 'em be missed - they'd none of 'em be missed And apologetic spokesmen of a compromising kind Such as - What d'ye call him - Thing'em-bob, and likewise - Never-mind And 'St- 'st- 'st- and What's-his-name, and also You-know-who The task of filling up the blanks I'd rather leave to you But it really doesn't matter whom you put upon the list For they'd none of 'em be missed - they'd none of 'em be missed! You may put 'em on the list - you may put 'em on the list And they'll none of 'em be missed - they'll none of 'em be missed! (With apologies to G&S)

I GUESS I AM TOO OLD. I believe that Cell Phones should only be used for making and receiving calls, Idiots who text while they are driving should be imprisoned. So I guess I do hate texting and "text speech" In all its forms. Acronyms about technical things and concepts are poor communication. They are easily misinterpreted and confusing for those unacquainted with the concepts or devices they are meant to refer to, and force many, myself included, into too many Wikipedia lookups. I also wonder are those that use them trying to show that they are "insiders" and "belong". I guess it is just a generational thing. I also would like to point out that I enjoy and look forward to your "Thought for the Day".

I'm guessing you are younger than I am - but I don't like txtspk either, particularly when you have access to a "proper" keyboard and can actually type... And it does seem to be dying, except among idiots since it's harder to type txtspk into a modern phone than it is to use English (thanks to the equally idiotic autocorrect). Text messages have their place: think of them as an email that goes "ping!" pretty immediately and they are genuinely useful. "I'm stuck in a meeting, be late for supper" and so forth. I also use them to talk to friends who can't use a phone at work. And texting while driving is something I have never been guilty of: for most of the time in the early days of text I was on a motorcycle, and you just can't text in big thick Kevlar gloves...

I'll bet I'm older than you. I'll be 69 in a few months. how about you. I am way too un-coordinated to ride a motor bike or any 2 or 3 wheeled vehicle.

                                    I don't know. I just don't.
