What the heck! The dog's life of a little manager. The boss pings me and tells "May be we should consider Spring-boot for our next designs". Him saying this, sounded reasonable. Because, even I was getting bombarded by this buzz word in recent times. Very much like the "Docker" thing. I was wishing that boss never gets to hear about Spring-boot. But he did. Now I need to first learn about it , to say why we should reject it. The most primary reason - JAVA. There's no rest! Why, in recent times there's a continuous invasion of newer, bugging buzzwords? I miss the days where Microsoft takes an year to release 2.0 of any framework. (lol) We could just learn a bunch of things & settle with for an year at least & focus on business/functional designs. Now the whole energy is getting routed to learning newer stuff. Now wonder if I get to see a "Spring boot contest" very soon in CP :-O

Don't worry. As soon as Spring arrives, you can forget Spring Boots. The Summer Sandals framework will be the new thing. (Maybe I should be the one writing a "bird in the hand" article. Waiting for a millennial web text-cobbler-togetherer to do it is boring)

I agree 100% on the Java framework thing. I would not dismiss Docker as a buzzword though, but it depends of course on what you do.

              Docker is just a gimmick.
