A colleague of mine used to work for a well know software games company. He has vowed never again to work in the software gaming industry after his experience - I heard bits of what it was like and for an industry that provides "entertainment" to other people, the amount of suffering it creates in its employees is just one huge brain***k of cognitive dissonance given the goal is to create happiness for its customers.
