We had a fairly wild windstorm in Toronto the other day which ripped some siding from my neighbours house. It was banging against our balcony so I hunted high and low for something long enough to tie it down. Rope? No. Bungy cords? Nope. String? No. 12 feet of cat5 cable? Absolutely! :sigh:

It's like I don't even know you any more. How about you drink a VB and then re-post. I found about 4 metres of Cat-5 and tied it down using a Truckies Hitch.

Well I hope you didn't do the knots up too tight: you'll get signal degradation.

I just hope your neighbor does not own a sailing boat and has to discover your revolutionary new rigging in the middle of the ocean.

I have lived with several Zen masters - all of them were cats. His last invention was an evil Lasagna. It didn't kill anyone, and it actually tasted pretty good.

The real reason for not going entirely wireless.
