In the "you can lead a horse to water..." department

The instructions on the screen say "Type YES to continue". The written documentation tells you to type "YES" to continue. [Note from the developer: I make them type the whole word YES because they're about to re-image a drive] What do they do? They type Y and don't understand why the procedure doesn't continue . As far as the horse goes, you shoot the horse and leave it beside the water hole as a warning to others.

So, you add code to check: "You typed 'Y'. Did you mean 'YES'? (Type 'YES' if you did)" If they still type "Y", ask them to confirm by typing the numbers on the back of their bank card.

Unfortunately this is all done in WinPE (Windows Pre-installation Environment), and even the final install won't have an Internet connection, so there's no good way to get bank card numbers back to home base. I like your thinking, however :-D.

A corollary to this is: "You can lead an human to knowledge, but you cannot make him think." Question: Do we shoot the human also and add a footnote that that human has been killed because of stupidity (hopefully we shoot him before he gets to reproduce).
