Let me explain. Let's imagine you are immigrant in a town going about your immigrant business quietly and generally unremarkably, except for some brilliant posts on the Soapbox. Now in this town some immigrant criminal killed another criminal, who happened to be a native indigenous. You never saw this person, as a matter of fact you were quite unaware of his somewhat miserable existence until an angry crowd started to chase you through the picturesque streets of said town. How about that. Incivility. There is a german word for that: Sippenhaft. Anglo-saxons surely have something like that too.

Do you have flood data going back a century or so? How has land use changed in the valley, urbanisation for example, putting up levees up stream (not letting a river flood up stream means it will flood worse down stream when it does flood). I found rainfall data for Ottawa, Google Image Result for https://scds.ca/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/precippivot.png[^] there doesnt look to be a trend. If rainfall had increased, how would you mitigate the flooding? Would you drive your car less or would you dredge the river more, put in concrete culverts? Because here is the thing, whether they are right or wrong about climate change, only one of these will fix the problem.

I said twice in 2 weeks is unprecedented. And the river flooded far outside the flooding areas, in areas floodable once very 100 years. This is unusual.

In the absence of data that shows an increase in rainfall then the flooding is natural and caused by mans usage of flood plains to build on, and not letting the river flood elsewhere along its course. But answer the question: How would you mitigate the flooding? Would you drive your car less or would you dredge the river more, put in concrete culverts? I'm actually moderately pro life and would be happy to see less of gay spam on TV. I vote conservative and am very much a deregulation free market supporter. You are not good at reading people I'm afraid. That being said I think hate on whatever side is a cancer and should be banned, sued and otherwise removed. Fuck freedom of speech if it's hate.
