Tom Welch wrote: Any chance of making this a part of UGLY? Now there is an idea. I am dead set on doing the XHTML ASP.NET control library, that has my top score as the idea. .NET has the two trees of WebForms and Windows Forms. So our project with the XHTML WebForms could be done in parallel with a Windows Forms version as well. I like it. And of course calling it UGLY just rocks :-D

SubVersion is free. :) We use it at SharpDevelop.

Let's make an effort to take those wonderful ideas and tutorials posted on CodeProject and make Universal Gui LibrarY (UGLY) :-D. Take those owner-drawn buttons and transparent labels and custom scroll-bars and sliders and make a whole suite of tools for windows programming. We would want to provide: Consistent interface across controls (function calls, data types, iterators) Maximum flexibility (skinning, derivable classes) Maximum efficiency (speedy, powerful, easy to use) Cross platform availability (.NET, MFC, Win32) please add more.

My proposal is for an ASP.NET class library that we can use in place of the ASP.NET intrinsic controls. Currently the ASP.NET controls output fairly horrendous and bloated HTML, are not XHTML compliant, and do not support Mozilla et al. A set of controls either replacing these controls, or deriving from them and overriding their HTML rendering functionality would be a Good Thing. cheers, Chris Maunder

How about an artificial life project with a CP twist? imagine Reproducing Bobs... Seriously, would anyone be interested in an ALife/AI project? This may satisfy JoeSox and also give the rest of us some AI experience.

Paul Watson wrote: You work over at SharpDevelop? I'm not in the core team, but I'm in the top 15. I've submitted a few fixes, but my main job is answering forum posts. Now that I've joined the contributor's list, I'm going to help out alot more with the coding. My current project is porting the Project Scout to SWT and fixing some dragging/moving bugs in it.

I'm a graphics loving guy and I'd like to work on a fractal engine of some sort. This may not have any practical use except for personal enjoyment.

2D Graphics library based on GDI+. I'd like to see a library with lots of image processing algos. Also, I have some control painting functions: :rose: disabled :rose: mono :rose: office XP smoothing Also it'd be nice if we could do a nice vector drawing framework on top of GDI+.

This is something I'm working on. Essentially it's a DB thing and is probably no more than a weekend's worth of work for me to do properly. The trick is finding that weekend but rest assured it is top of mind. cheers, Chris Maunder

I don't really know how people vote? I have not yet voted because I can't vote on my own projects, and I don't want to sabotage other peoples projects. jhaga CodeProject House, Paul Watson wrote: ...and the roar of John Simmons own personal Nascar in the garage.
