If you are referring to the original topic about GitHub and NuGet, I did post that here intentionally, so I'm not sure what your issue is. I've read the ground rules, and it seems to me that it's in scope.

Oh, sorry, my post wasn't meant to say it doesn't belong here, but why here in the soapbox and not somewhere more prominent? Given what usually gets posted here in the soapbox the post seems like it's not controversial enough. LOL. On the otherhand, it could generate a good amount of traffic to your article. Hopefully, well-behaved traffic.

I considered several places, and this seemed like the most logical.

Actually it's the most illogical. If you have something you have written that you want to bring to the attention of developers, then writing an article about it is the most logical thing to do.

I would have thought "Insider News" to be more logical.

The article would duplicate what's in the LinkedIn article. Although I wrote it behind the paywall, I have confirmed that it is visible to all, without so much as logging in.

It's not really news; it's more of a thought leadership article.

That's fine, I don't think anyone would want to stop you publishing in multiple places in order to reach different audiences.
