-
Just checked the current temperatures of the region and compare with averages: Coastal Areas: Bombay: 32 C (normal) Karachi: 32 C (normal) Calcutta: 39 C (above average) Madras: 44 C (very hot...me astonished) Inland: Nagpur: 45 C (normal) Lahore: 44 C(normal) Bangalore: 36 C (little above average) Sibi: 51 C (normal) Hills: Shimla: 39 C (now this is somethng to worry about) Srinagar: 28 C (Above average ....) Murree: 19 C (normal) Yes, temperatures of South India are going above average these day. But hilly areas temparatures are something to more worry about. Coastal areas are fine. ;P

Cool! Whereabouts are you staying? And working? I started studying over here, through the Open University, but it was so crap. All Java, £750 each 4 months, and being taught things like arrays. Pathetic, and definitely not worth the cash. Once you have a job it seems that computer studies never catch up or teach you anything new. A shame, hopefully one day that will change. At my current job most of my work is SQL Server stored procedures and the like, with ASP for the display (online financial institution). We've been trying for months to finish the project so that we can start again with .Net, but the requests for new tools seem endless and we don't really get to do more than play with it at this stage. A shame, but our boss is cool, and will change over eventually. My spare time is all spent with my husband and/or my camera, although I keep promising myself I will build a photo site using C# at home... :-O You know how it is. You can see a little more about CPian members by clicking on the little head to the left of their name at the top of their posts. Good to meet you anyway :-D

:eek::)I am in bangalore.. Bangalore is suppose to be a cool place. But this year , Here it is very very hot. A river here dried up completely that is in the last two centuries. Official say they have water for bangalore only for nest two weeks.
Haja wrote: Official say they have water for bangalore only for nest two weeks. :suss: I've just returned from B'lore where I was with my cousin. There they get water 24 x 7. They don't even "store" water. We get water here in CBE once in 4 days. :mad: Where in B'lore do you live? I was in BTM 2nd Stage. OT: Know of any place in/near Malleshwaram where you can rent a room/small house for the next 6 months? A friend of mine is supposed to do his internship there, and he's got no place to stay. URGENT! Please contact me ASAP. Regards,

It's currently 32C (7:00 AM!), and going up to 47C - not too awful for a summer here, but summer doesn't start for another three weeks! I've got a bad feeling about this... The grasshoppers are thinning out, I'm sorry to report...

Im in Inland Empire, went up to almost 100° F here yesterday and day before. Gonna be hot this year. Doesn't help that I was outside Monday for Memorial Day and got a sun burn w/o realizing it till next morning. :)

"Ask not for whom the bell tolls;
It tolls for thee..."Home sweet home. :) I'm in the foothills close, not close enough, but close to the mountains. I get only 50% the smog that they do lower in the valley. In fact, I get so much less that I can actually see the smog in the valley through the smog where I am at. 90% of the time I can see the mountains that are 20 minutes away too. Lower in the valley it is the opposite. --
