Nice setup! elementary OS looks interesting, when Windows 7 support runs out I'll be looking for something new!

I concur. Nice set-up. Can we run Visual Studio under Elementary OS? ...or perhaps Core Studio?

    - I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.

No VS under Linux, but Visual Studio Core is everywhere...

Took my home office to bits and got myself a couple of new sit/stand desks........... I also decided to add a couple monitors to my main workstation. The main middle monitor is my original 30" Dell at 2560x1600, and the 2 new outer ones are 32" Samsung 4K monitors 3840x2160. The new monitors also support a have a pretty good picture by picture so I also replaced my old workstations motherboard which was faulty and formatted the SSD and installed Linux, using the distro Elementary OS [The fast, open, and privacy-respecting replacement for Windows and macOS ⋅ elementary OS](https://elementary.io/) Works pretty good and looks clean and fresh. First time I had seen or heard of it when I was searching for which distro to take for a spin. The mouse and keyboard also support multiple pairings. Now I just need to think of something to work on! :)

Your monitor setup has just guaranteed you a seat in the main hall in Valhalla, when that day comes. Until then, know that Odin and Freya have blessed your stay here on earth.

 Isn't a place in Valhalla given only to those chosen by the Valkyries in battle?

Freya, Odin's wife chooses first, her place is Folkvang, where her great hall is. Anyone that is not chosen by Freya goes to Odin in Valhalla. "Usually" as the stories and etas go, you have to die a valiant death, usually in battle, to even be chosen...but not always. From what I read though, Freya is very picky about what type of person goes with her, and most warriors go to Valhalla with Odin. Usually the lot starts at 50%/half of those slain on the battle field. So, you already have half that are going to be damned no matter what. All others are damned. All of this is from memory and I am sure I have some of this wrong.

I don't use one, I just use the normal windows window docking features. (if that's what you mean....)

No, I meant for the multiple monitors. I added one and was advised to use a display dock to be able to set the new monitor to it's max available resolution.

Just normal multi-monitor support in windows. All 3 monitors are set to their native maximum resolution. Left and right are both 3840x2160 and the one in the middle is 2560x1600, all are set at 100% scaling and have allow desktop to extend to this display setting checked. They are all display port, plugged into the same 1080ti GPU with a second 1080ti in SLI.

Ended up buying a display dock to plug in the extra monitor, as otherwise the images were all too blurred when plugged in direct into my Dell PC. Thanks

I have the same central monitor actually. Got it in 2005 or 2006 I think so getting on a bit, and if I recall properly it was an insane £1300 for a refurbished product. Actually, it's got a silver stand thinking about it. Still going strong to this day.

                          Regards, Rob Philpott.
