The toothbrush was invented in the south, if not it would have been called a teethbrush!

Some of you may know that I've started learning a new skill - lock picking. I've been practicing several times a day for weeks with some "learning locks" (perspex bodies, so you can see what is going on) and I've got to the point where I can can feel what is happening - not well, but all skills take time to build up. Anyhoo ... I just picked my first "real" lock*! Took about 90 seconds or so, and really wasn't that hard. I've tried maybe a dozen times before and got nowhere so it's a big "YES!" moment for me. :-D * the 5 pin Euro cylinder I took out of the back door last week and replaced with a "thumb internal" one so Herself could use it without hunting for a key in an emergency.

The big question is why, Has Mrs O bought her self a chastity belt or just a lock for the fridge?

 No, I just caught a couple of "lockpickinglawyer" vids on YouTube, and found them strangely compelling. And it's a subject that I knew absolutely nothing about, so it piqued my interest. It escalated from there ... now I have a set of picks, a bunch of learning locks, have made a few wiper tensioners for top tensioning, and keep looking at HUK "lock dismantling" kits because "that E-clip removal tool looks really good". :sigh: Herself is under the impression I'm about to start collecting locks.

It's kinda difficult to explain, but it's fascinating to watch someone who really knows what they are doing, doing what they do best. It's the "unconscious competence" that they demonstrate, I suspect. It's what taught me to change motorcycle tyres, fix their engines, rewire the electrics, etc. ... You never lose anything by watching a master at work, and you might learn something. :-D

I can't wait to see the big shoot-out at the end, after you've picked the lock on the contessa's chastity belt and she's handed over the ledger.
