Obviously in remorse over the wicked deeds he unknowingly perpetrated over many years, and the rich, powerful friends who might get dragged through the mud in such a trial despite clearly never, ever having indulged themselves in such tragic victims either. I can't think of any other reason for him to die in a solitary confinement high security cell designed to be next to impossible to commit suicide in while the guards who were supposed to be watching the poor suicidal fellow all happened to fall asleep as the complete lack of security footage in a supermax prison clearly shows. But then, I'm not rich, powerful, or a peadophile ...

I detect a moderate amount of sarcasm eminating from your post, but... 0) It wasn't solitary confinement. He was in a cell WITH A CELLMATE. That is. until the cellmate was transferred the night prior to Epstien's arkancide. 1) He couldn't have hanged himself because there's nothing to secure the noose to. 2) Sheets and clothes are specifically designed not to support the weight of an average person in a hanging situation. Epstien weighed in excess of 200 pounds (havier than an "average person"). 3) Nobody has come out and actually said they found him hanging from a noose. He was merely found "unresponsive". 4) There are reports (from whom, I do not know) that they heard shreaks and screams coming from his cell. Since his cellmate had been transferred, only once person could have been doing that. I suspect that most folks that hange themselves can't really make any noises loud enougfh to be heard more than a few feet away. 5) Guards were sleeping on watch. 6) Cameras were conveniently "down for maintenance". The warden has been reassigned (just moving the problem somewhere else), and two guards have been suspended (?, with/without pay?). No actions will apparently be taken against the cameras.

One theory, of the less hysterical kind, is that Epstein was an intelligent asset, recording all sorts of bigwigs doing all sorts of things that would provide leverage against them if/when needed. But his value as an asset was diminished the first time he was convicted, and even more so this time. Whether he has been moved to a secret location, or that is really him in the morgue is not really the point. In either case, the agencies who were "running" him could easily have made sure of either scenario. That's kinda what they do, at least on the "Ops" side.

Not trying to keep this topic alive but a couple of days ago I told all of you that this will be swept under the carpet and perhaps some guards will be fired. I present to you the guards that will be fired. Jail guards assigned to watch Epstein were sleeping before his death[^] Move along please, nothing to see here.
I find it fascinating that certain suspected individuals seem to have become much more adept at disposing of problems in the last 25 years. If they'd been this good before then we'd never even have heard of a particular blue dress.

When you pry the gun from my cold dead hands, be careful - the barrel will be very hot. - JSOP, 2013I'm still going with Occam's Razor. But if you want to indulge in conspiracy theories: 7) The MCC is a Federal facility 8) Under the jurisdiction of the Justice Department 9) Led by Attorney General William Barr 10) Appointed by and subservient to Il Douche.
Frank Wilhoit: “Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition …There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.” We never have had a president* so completely deserving of scorn and yet so small in the office that it almost seems a waste of time and energy to summon the requisite contempt

- Barr and Trump don't have direct day-to-day knowledge of daily events. I'm sure they expect people to just do their f*ckin jobs, which is reasonable when we're talking about adults. 12) As a result, they delegate responsibilities (ie a warden, who delegates guarding to guards, and surveillance duties to a security guy). 13) When the system fails at those lower levels, you can't possibly hold the AG or the president responsible. I'd be willing to bet that Barr nor Trump have absolutley no input in the hiring decisions at those lower levels, even as igh as the warden's position. That's not discounting the fact that as upper tier management, they can't fire said employees when they f*ck up on such a monumental and visible scale. Therefore... 14) Your implication that they are responsible for hiring wardens and prison guards is f*cklin retarded. 15) Anybody with the appropriate (even if falsified) credentials can just waltz in and do whatever the f*ck they want.

Not my implication at all. They are both in positions to get anything they want done - including killing an inconvenient child trafficker and controlling any subsequent investigation. I'm still going with Occam's Razor.

The real Occam's Razor then is that he just killed himself or he had a heart attack or some such. That's far simpler and more Occam's Razor-like than your scenario. Of course, in your world, anything bad happening *must* be Trump's fault.

I'm not the one who thinks there was some conspiracy. That would be JSOP[^]

ok, so you were being tongue-in-cheek then a couple of posts up. His death does seem awfully convenient. As well as the non-working security cameras. However there's no evidence so far of anything "untoward". That guards were sleeping on the job doesn't seem all that unusual. I suspect that happens a lot everywhere.
