if you could time-travel ?

Into the future, or the past, and, be present as an invisible observer: when/where would you go ? I'll add my choice, later.

I'd use it to skip advert breaks on TV.

I'd go way back to the moment life began on Earth. Not human life or dinosaurs or insects... the very first spark of life.
The Beer Prayer - Our lager, which art in barrels, hallowed be thy drink. Thy will be drunk, I will be drunk, at home as it is in the tavern. Give us this day our foamy head, and forgive us our spillage as we forgive those who spill against us. And lead us not to incarceration, but deliver us from hangovers. For thine is the beer, the bitter and the lager, for ever and ever. Barmen.

I'd go into the future but the way things are going, there's not much future left. I'd probably avoid the past.
When I was growin' up, I was the smartest kid I knew. Maybe that was just because I didn't know that many kids. All I know is now I feel the opposite.

smoosh it and save everyone the hassle. “The story so far: In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.” ― Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

Sorry guys, i'll be bit sentimental... This is my very personal confession... I'd like to move into the future where there's a medicine for my brother's illness. Then i'll back to 2003 to bring it to my brother...

So...you know the exact date of your own demise? :~ Although I suppose you could go far enough into the future to look up your own obituary, then go back to that date... But my question is...what would you be trying to learn by attending your own funeral...? I think the risk is that, were it possible, it could fundamentally change what you think of some people, even closest friends and relatives...would you risk it?

Here's an important twist: Are you allowed to come back, or is this a one-way trip? Would be interesting to see how people's answer would be different if that condition was introduced. I'd bet most people would think a lot harder about that choice, and that some would prefer not to go anywhere at all, despite what they think about their current circumstances...

Once you have established time travel as possible why would you limit yourself to one time/place only? Of course, the first time/place I would visit is to be in Hitler's bunker when he takes the poison and then follow his body out to when it was burned. I haven't had a good belly laugh for a long time.
- I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.

No particular order: - October 11, 1492 to watch the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria before they step foot on Guanahani. - Febuary 07, 2862 to lobby the world government to remove the temporal non-interference treaty and extend coverage down to 2000. - III Akhet 8, I'd go and watch the construction work on the Great Pyramid of Cheops as it's being renovated by Khufu. - July 20, 1969 to watch Neil Armstrong step on the moon. Best Wishes, David Delaune
