This usually involved a spouse/partner and at least one child. To begin a claim, the first screen was entitled "Enter the Claimant". You could the choose to "enter a child". One of the system users refused to go anywhere near it as they considered that it was encouraging paedophilia! We were asked to change the system to read "Enter Child Details"

I was jokingly "code-naming" with friends as the relevant parties were shooting requirements at me from all directions. Then someone (who frankly should have known better) repeated the name to the boss, who didn't know what it meant and he started using it. I didn't fancy explaining it to him (because cowardace) - and he had no idea I'd been calling it that. Luckily a team lead came in and immediately renamed it.

Maybe the person wanting the change is more sensitive to the fact than you are. I have a daughter who is mentally retarded, as are many, many other people around the world. She could do nothing about the way she was born. People are also born with cerebral palsy or deformed limbs, or injured in accidents. ("gimps"). To turn the description of a medical condition into a joke in the lounge is puerile. You folks are better than that. :mad::mad:
