On a customers board, PPC based, got U-boot running, a linux kernel loading, a file system in RAM and an alive console in a little over two weeks. Phew, that was a lot of googling! It is actually quite simple, when you know how. Just a shame, as always with linux, the documentation is not centralised, it is repeated everywhere, often with subtle differences (because linux changes, there are many ways to do things on linux, and some are just plain wrong/useless). The pros and the cons of a decentralised OS owned by the multitude!

Well, I was panting alot. :) Yeah, it is nice getting an OS running on a PCB thats lying on your desk. Embedded/low level dev is much more fun than writing apps.
