What's your idea of cheap? According to their site it sells for $699. Jeremy Falcon

I agree there. I don't like that it always displays the "created with DemoShield" pane like an ad almost. But, then again, we all know about DemoShield, so I guess it worked. Macromedia does the same thing though. They require in their license to include their logo somewhere when making a projector (standalone exe) with either Flash or Director. I say screw it and write your own. I mean, we're developers for crying out loud! Who really wants to show another company's logo on their product? Jeremy Falcon

Has anyone ever used InstallShield DemoShield? Are there any other CD browsing packages that you would recommend in its place?

Not enough resources. If we had the time and the extra person, sure, but that's not an option right now.

We wrote our own front end. It was worth the effort. "When a man sits with a pretty girl for an hour, it seems like a minute. But let him sit on a hot stove for a minute and it's longer than any hour. That's relativity." - Albert Einstein

IMHO, and experience, DemoShield isn't really all that. X| You are probably better off with Macromedia Flash or some such. -Jerry Dennany
