Ace Ventura Pet Detective: When Nature Calls On a scorchingly sunny day in a tourist game park, Jim Carrey is inside of a "mechanical" rhinocerous, staking out criminal activity. He realizes that it is getting extremely hot and incrementally removes his clothing until he is naked inside of this hot, baking oven of a rhinocerous. He then needs to get out for air and realizes the door is stuck. His only option, exit via the rhino's anus. As a shocked family looks on, Jim Carrey worms his way out of the rhino's butt. Naked and protruding halfway from the rhino, his body waves up and down in the air like a snake. He finally spurts out the rest of the way from the rhino and curls up in the fetal position. I was thinking this morning about the rare times a film has made me laugh uncontrollably, fits of laughter, tears streaming down my cheeks. The one that springs to mind is the scene in Mrs Doubtfire when Robin Williams has to cover his face in whipped cream from the fridge to hide his identity from the social worker. :laugh: I don't know what it was about this one, probably Robin Williams' timing or something, but I just couldn't stop laughing. In fact, every time I watch this part of the film, I can't help myself! :laugh: There were a couple of scenes in Dumb and Dumber as well (the snowball fight that gets out of hand for example) - But the Mrs Doubtfire one gets my number one vote. ;) John www.silveronion.com[^]

In a Clint Eastwood movie I like, The Dead Pool, a little known 'James Carrey' plays the part of a drugged-out rock singer that od's. He did a superb imitation of Axle Rose from the gunner's. Yea, I saw this with my friends as a teen, all of whom have a CS (Computer Science) degree. I never got most of the humor until I starting working in the coporate world. I'm dating myself here, but the after dinner campfire scene in 'Blazing Saddles' where everyone starts farting is just too much for me. But in particular, the scene when the old guy is getting released from prison, and he "frees" all of his quite dead mouse/bird friends. "You're freeeee! Freeeee!" That hurts just thinking about it. - Whose Line Is It Anyways. Party game, where Ryan has to be "a foal being born". Nearly soaked myself first time I saw that. J

So many come to mind... The scene in 'Annie Hall' when the dinner lobsters have Woody Allen cornered in the kitchen. The bit in 'The Magic Christian' when Ringo and Peter are throwing 𧴜 notes into a huge vat of excrement as hundreds of suits on their way home from work dive in to retrieve them. And from the same movie, the scene aboard the cruise ship when the exotic male entertainment starts making out on stage in front of all the rich, elderly passengers. An all time great was the first 'Airplane' movie; I laughed so hard that I must have missed half the gags the first time I watched it. My date and I were further entertained by watching the rest of the people in the theatre, as most of the jokes went completely unnoticed by most of them.:laugh:

Not a movie, but a few years ago as a kid, I would crack up with the rest of my family watching Allo Allo[^] I still can't be too far away from the bathroom when I watch reruns of this:laugh: How can a simple series be sooo funny. fav line:"Lis'en very carefully.. I will say dis only once" (with a french accent)

Yeah, I love "Office Space"!!! Some of the best moments are the actions of his boss and his boss's messages on his answering machine. "Yeah, ....uh, this is Bill Lumberg". :-D Some of my other comedic favorites are: "Better Off Dead" - John Cusack "Cable Guy" - Jim Carrey - the "Mid-eval Times" restaurant scene including the fight and Jeanine Garafalo's attitude as a waitress. "Me, Myself & Irene" - Jim Carrey - all of the movie! "Mystery Men" - Ben Stiller, Hank Azaria. Alot of good scenes in this movie. "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" - John Candy, Steve Martin - the rental car scene and the one already mentioned...driving the wrong way on the freeway and Candy turns into the devil "The Great Outdoors" - John Candy, Dan Ackroyd - when they fall asleep in the rowboat, the bat in the cabin, the ol' 96'er. and a classic favorite: "Harry Crumb" - John Candy - when he dresses up as a jockey and the horse whinies when it sees him.

In "Best of Breed", the neurotic couple talking to a dog psychologist about making love in front of their dog.. they were trying a new position called "The Congress of Cows".
I think that's "Best of Show". Christopher Guest & those guys are working on a new mockumentary about Little League baseball. Can't wait for that.
