eBook Readers

Hi All, I'm thinking of picking up the REB1100 eBook reader and was wondering if anyone here owns one or any other type of eBook reader. My primary use would be to read personal content. I have all kinds of eBooks in TXT or HTML and would like to convert them for more portable reading. We could have a CP eBook club. :) --- John

I like MicroSoft's Reader. It's like your reading a real book. Any ebooks I have, I convert to this format first. BTW, isn't this copyright infringement too, or is it just like going to the library? In fact, I would feel worse about downloading a new e-book, than music. I have a nice collection of sci-fi ebooks. :-O

If you were an author, what would you think about your book being downloaded for free on P2P networks? Jason Henderson wrote: In fact, I would feel worse about downloading a new e-book, than music. That's because a book takes month of planning, writing and negotiation with publishers. But most musics today are written on the back of a napkin, or made in 20 minutes with a good sequencer software. Most good music is public domain already. :-D Kant wrote: Actually she replied back to me "You shouldn't fix the bug. You should kill it"

Plus, I may write a book someday, but I know I'll never sing a top 40 hit. X| (that how you'd feel after hearing me sing)

I would hate if the writing I've done were to be downloaded all over the place, too. Jason Henderson wrote: What if the book is out of print? If it's no longer available at stores, I think that people should be able to get it online. I really like what Bruce McKinney did - when his "Hardcore Visual Basic" went out of print, he made it available online. :-D
