Windows XP problem...

I used to have the Ctrl-Alt-Del before logging in option turned on in WinXP, but since I reformatted, I can't find the setting anymore - all I get is the 'simple' user manager control panel applet, I can find nowhere to change it to 'advanced' :confused: Paul ;) I have been afraid always. To do this in Windows 2000 Professional I do the following - 1. Go to User and Passwords in Control Panel 2. Go to the Advanced tab 3. Under the Secure Boot Settings group box 4. Check Require users to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete before logging on Michael Martin Australia "I personally love it because I can get as down and dirty as I want on the backend, while also being able to dabble with fun scripting and presentation games on the front end." - Chris Maunder 15/07/2002

Thanks for the reply :) Yes, that is what you do in Win2k, but the problem is that XP by default hides the 'advanced' features from possible dumb users, and I can't find where I turned that 'feature' off last time. Userfriendly, 2003/06/07Hmmm... No, it's still in 'simple' mode, so it only asks "Show welcome screen" and use "Fast User Switching". The problem is to get it into 'advanced' mode so it asks about the Ctrl-Alt-Del thing... Tks anyway :-D Paul ;) I have been afraid always.
