Good morning When I logged in today I lost about 100 rep points - If it wouldn't have caused a change in the thousands I might not even have recognized it, but now I ask whether there has been a change in counting? Looking in my rep history I can't see any negative value (do we even have negative rep here? This is not SO - and that's good :)) Anybody else found the own rep points decreased?

Just a slight correction: Bugs and Suggestions[^] - it's not just you.

Same here too. One more thing. When someone upvotes an article, the points added are just 10. Whereas when someone upvotes a Lounge post, it rises by 24 points. This site being coding-centric, shouldn't it be the other way round? 24 points for upvote on an article, and 10 points for a Lounge upvote.

Depends on who does the upvoting: votes are "balanced" by reputation, so a higher rep "gives more points" than a lower one.

@OriginalGriff woke up this morning and noticed a drop of millions. Don't worry, he makes thousands a minute and regularly gives half his points to charity (for tax benefits). No doubt he'll get hamster support though, while the regular folk like you and I have to work for our upvotes :sigh:

I was a large drop, yes. But ... I can't convert them to money, so I don't worry about them. :-D

M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

: lol: Do you really care about your rep points here and keep accounts of them?

It does not solve my Problem, but it answers my question Chemists have exactly one rule: there are only exceptions
