This is why those tablets with fold-under keyboards interest me so much. I can type quite quickly, but sketching with a mouse is horrible indeed. I've often wondered why digitizing tablets are not more common accessories for PCs...

I've thought about tablets and creating some specialized document types for use for students. The idea of carrying a something slightly smaller than a laptop, and be able type, write, and associate notes to specific points in a document containing a textbook is appealing to me.
