It appears every so often we get one of these Linux zealots popping up to offer their sagely wisdom on how we are all rather silly for following the teachings of Bill and Steve. Well I say let us return the favour. Verily I say unto thee all, we shalt seek out an popular linux forum and evangelise the unbelievers until they repent of their unfortunate tendencies. They shall see the light that Windows is the better OS, and that they have been deceived by the evil Linus. That they have followed the crooked path and that they are damned to a lifetime of Windows envy if they do not. Spread the word fellow Windows believers. Windows dances on Linux's grave. ;-)

Behold, A certain man had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, "Father, give to me the operating system that costs nothing." And he divided unto them his operating systems. And the young man took a journey to a far away country, and there wasted his substance with riotous development. And there arose famine in that land; and he was in want; and would fain have filled himself trying to make KDE work reliably. Yet no man would hire him. And he said to himself, "How many of my father's Windows programmers have enough and to spare, while I perish with hunger?" And he arose and went to his father. But when he was a great way off, his father saw him, and, having compassion, he went out to meet his son. And the son said unto him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and in they sight, and I am no longer worthy to be called a software engineer. Pray, make me as one of thy marketing interns." But the father said to his R & D team, "Bring forth the best Star Wars shirt, and put it on him; and put a light saber in his hand; and Air Jordans on his feet; And bring forth the Grande Meal from Taco Bell, for my son developed for Linux, and found his way back to Windows; he was lost, and is now found" From the book of Bill, chapter 1, verses 1 - 23. :-D Jon Sagara Sagara Software

I used to write Windows device drivers and could spend day after day with my head in SoftIce and reading hex printouts in bed. Invariably I would end up following lines of assembly out of my driver and up the skirts of some crap application that was meant to adhere to the "standards" (Windows Printing System, WDM etc). What I found was a binary free for all in there. If it's doesn't work - hack it - that's the Windows way 'cause ol' M$ ain't gonna help you out! I saw "accountability" mentioned further up. The accountability just shifts to the next poor bum who has to interface with those apps under the hood. I still use Windows at home as Dreamweaver runs on it and not Linux plus I can play games on Windows. That's what Windows is for, oh and setting up web servers that spam the universe with codered attacks and inundate users inboxes with security bombs. If I want a secure platform that won't crash every five minutes then Linux is the one for me. If I want to play Doom and design a home page then I use Windows! Viva Linux - my reset button ain't got no fingerprints on it!!! Le gach deagh dhurachd
