until I get back from San Francisco, Tuesday next-next week. I'm going away on Sunday evening. A whole week of doing absolutely NOTHING. I hope you all will have fun, doing whatever boring stuff you do at work. :snicker: :-D -- Counting the days in the haze around you Susanne let the ether fall Out of phase, I am all around you Susanne on the wall

Hey Jörgen - in case you hadn't noticed - much of the early internet and most of the PC revolution was "invented" within about 20 miles of San Francisco. They are considered one of the broadband capitals of the world. I'm thinking you'll be able to find the occassional connection to check in at CP. ;P ;P ;P Mike Mullikin

I might check in. I *might*. But I don't think I will have time for it to be honest. Maybe Friday, Saturday next week. I will however try to stay away from computers as much as possible. I really need this vacation. I'm beginning to hate computers. :| -- Counting the days in the haze around you Susanne let the ether fall Out of phase, I am all around you Susanne on the wall

Enjoy. I loved San Francisco and I'm still trying to persuade my wife to move there. I can't imagine anyone voluntarily even visiting Phoenix. Bullhead City is heaven by comparison. Phoenix has all of the problems of Los Angeles with none of the cultural benefits; as a bonus it's much hotter, and during the monsoon season it's about as pleasant as living in a sweaty armpit. On the bright side, if you happen to be caught in a drive-by shooting, you're allowed to shoot back.:-D

:laugh::laugh: The strange thing is my wife and her ex husband were driving from San Francisco to Texas and went via Phoenix. Apparently they just drove through and liked the place so much they decided to move here :omg: For myself, I can't tell one part of the place from any other. It just looks the same to my eyes, hectares and hectares of identical houses as far as the eye can see... Rob Manderson http://www.mindprobes.net

Yeah, but TCP/IP et al was invented over there by Vinton Cerf I believe (and some other guys, I forget). Sure, we could've had HTTP over some OSI stack now.:laugh::laugh: The strange thing is my wife and her ex husband were driving from San Francisco to Texas and went via Phoenix. Apparently they just drove through and liked the place so much they decided to move here :omg: For myself, I can't tell one part of the place from any other. It just looks the same to my eyes, hectares and hectares of identical houses as far as the eye can see... Rob Manderson http://www.mindprobes.net
