I only want people's opinion on the actual event - which is VP Pence getting his COVID shot. It's preceded by two other shots and that's actually quite helpful. It just seems to me, based upon the speed and other visual clues, that his shot was just not real and never entered his arm. Very possibly that given his wife, as well. Mike Pence Gets Covid-19 Vaccine Amid National Immunization Campaign - WSJ[^] Just looking for other set's of eye's view. I really couldn't care less if he got the shot or not. I mean, for what it's worth, a needle obviously penetrating the skin could be full of saline and no politico's and such ever take a real vaccine for their publicity video. For me the injection looks real. The skin of the arm just above the fingers of the doctor moves when he presses as there were real pression.

I would say that's due to the nervous medic (his hand shake a bit)... and the arm will probably later hurt a bit more than it should.

The first one went in - you can see the skin stretching as the needle is withdrawn. The second is blocked by the doctor's arm The third looks real, but it's behind the sticky plaster, so it's difficult to tell. The syringe has a needle attached - you can see it "flash" in the studio lights as he brings it over - and the syringe body appears to stop at the arm where you'd expect, so Occam's Razor says "Genuine" to me.

I give myself a shot once/week and even with the much shorter needle (Subcutaneous not intramuscular) I do it (and also it is shown in the instructions) to do it at an angle. This caught my attention, initially, via the endless TV news displays and it just seemed so much quicker than it should be and that needle, going in at that angle and that length. Also, I recently got my (possibly first ever) flu shot and it was nothing like what I saw (shorter needle, at an angle, done with some care). The shot looks all much like the needle was behind the arm and squirted (rather rapidly) into the air. Looks can be deceiving. Either way.

I think it's ridiculous that anyone is spending time and money to televise this. When there was a TP shortage, no one was televising the proper way to use less TP. People are nuts.

I basically agree with the statement. In these uncertain times (read that insane conspiracy laden times), with so much damage done to the public faith in pretty much everything, these absurd shows - which look foolish to us - may have an impact on some of the "misled" that may save their (and the lives of those near them) lives. Insanity begets absurdity.

Really - not. Perhaps it makes you happy and will give you another opportunity to say "if you did it . . . " consequences. Or, you can actually, for a change, look at it for what it says and no more. There's a lot of people potentially involved. I deliberately didn't describe what bothered me in the original post in order to see what others see. In other words, and I realize this may be an alien concept to you, I wanted to get other peoples opinions. Other political leaders will be putting on a show - and you may have noticed that I specifically said that even if I saw a real stick it may just be saline. In other words - pay close attention - I didn't let anyone off the hook that makes a PR stunt out of getting a vaccination.

If you pay attention to 1:12 to 1:14, there is a bit of shoulter visible between the fingers and the sleeve of the shirt. And for me the skin / muscles react properly when the needle is getting in and when it is getting out. Note that I don't give a crap if he gets it or not, but in my eyes he is getting it. As someone who is petrified of needles, I'm not going to click on that despicable link! :wtf: It's also quite traumatising that the news is constantly, (without warning), flashing up injections on screen. We need to have warnings - e.g.: "The following footage contains needles/injections".

So I went back over that time frame - it could be that it's going into his arm. What I couldn't notice until this (frame-by-frame) was that his expression didn't change from the actual jab. Nor his wifes. The surgeon general did react. On the other hand, I've had injections from very thin sharp needles that literally slipped in without any sensation at all. VP's shot, however, was just so very fast. It doesn't look right to me. On the other hand, I did post this to find out what others see looking at the same scene. And, as I put elsewhere on this thread - I've no care if he gets vaccinated or not. I won't likely be in a room or event with him present. Neither, for that matter, with those who were present at those events.

I'm certainly not going to click the link. But, yes, I never simply accept that what they say is true. Yet there's no reason to "fake" an injection, just inject something else -- the viewer has no idea what was actually injected. He'd be a fool to trust an experimental drug.

He's got his "short sleeved shirt"; so he was thinking beforehand. Today's needles are "smaller"? No wincing, but he couldn't watch (like most). The staff looked like real medical technicians; too risky to fake.
