Has anyone ever notice when searching for programming info, Google shows a lot more things than Bing. It is kind of like Microsoft is editing the results and guiding you to the answers they want. Google answers seem more random (not sure of the right word). Not sure if it is good or bad. Non computer questions and non health searches seem to give the same random results. On health maters Google seems to be guiding you to ????

So many years of programming I have forgotten more languages than I know.

Bing is worthless, it can't find results even if you point them to it. I was forced to use it for 7 years because my company didn't allow Internet, only Bing and MSDN were available to us peasants (all developers, it's a f'ing software house). It took 2 years to get CP and SO opened just because MSDN points to these sites when you do a search. Sadly DDG sucks just the same.

I tried doing some coding searches on Bing cos I kinda assumed Microsoft would skew the results toward their own sites and just understand the domain better in general, but the results still weren't as good as google's :\

Definitely. I have no need to give either Google or Microsoft any more of my data than they already have.

Yes, I'm aware that zoom exists. But ... Why should I have to change the zoom level, when everything else on my system uses the same value and is readable? That's putting "different" above "usable" in the priorities list.

Friends don't let friends use Bing. So whatever you do, just don't Bing it! (also, if you are really interested in usable results from a search on the interwebs, don't use DuckDuckNoGo...)

I use duckduckgo, and it shows everything that's relevant. What google shows more are ads and irrelevant links from sites that somehow game the rating system (or did $omething el$e to make Google show them on top :suss: )

GOTOs are a bit like wire coat hangers: they tend to breed in the darkness, such that where there once were few, eventually there are many, and the program's architecture collapses beneath them. (Fran Poretto)

I'm using the new Microsoft Edge witch defaults to Bing so I left it alone. The other day, I was searching and couldn't find what I was looking for. So I tried Google. It did no better.
