Do you use Bots?

Personally or at workplace. Just curious. For what purpose are you using Bots. Few more details about that if possible. If No, ... do you plan to create/use Bots in future? For what purpose? I searched our surveys[^] before posting this. Even jokes welcome.

I've never seen a bot that I wouldn't describe as "just an extra layer sitting on top of a search engine". And they all make the results worse. I think you can draw your own conclusions for the rest of your questions based on that. [Edit] Oh, and I was once talking to a customer service rep (through a chat window), and I *had* to ask if he was a human or a bot, because his answers were complete nonsense. He swore he was a real person. To this day I'm still not convinced.

No, but we did look at an automated helpdesk type system to answer user's questions.

Our company has a bot for user help and basic IT FAQ and resources, etc.

How about talking to your bot watch / phone. Mine tells when to stand, breath, etc. Nobody compliments me more than my watch.

I used them a lot when I worked in the office. HR wasn't happy though, they kept insisting that I refer to them as "coworkers". Go figure.
