It is indeed great fun! My kid loves it (and I get a recovery team  ) As for the parachute problem, you can try a longer rubber band, or attach a piece of string to the existing rubber band. (Or, you can try kevlar string http://www.apogeerockets.com/construction_supplies.asp ;). ) Gil

Indeed! (Seriously, though, I think he is not using that computer to actually control the flight. That is done by some altimeter boards mounted in a different place.) Gil

Nope... On the way up it would get slower and slower and slower and slower until it finally just hangs. Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.

Wow. Great site. We've been building Estes rockets. These guys seem to have a lot more stuff. Plus, the Saturn V!!! Cool! I also loved the historical perspectives in the write-ups. Very nice site indeed. Thanks! Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.

Good memory! Estes. It's wierd how I can forget names of people, places, or things, but I can tell you usually the letter it starts with, and how many syllables it has. Funky. Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.
