Well CNet also have the same story running so it just may be so. Totally amazing and did anyone see this coming? Normally rumours fly before such a merger but this has just sprung up. regards, Paul Watson Cape Town, South Africa e: paulmwatson@email.com w: vergen.org

Guys - you are missing the most important thing: Toys! What is the future of the Jornada and iPaq? Does it mean more toys? Cheaper toys? Toys that have the best of both worlds? Or merely a bigger kid with uglier toys but enough clout that no one will argue? cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)

iJoraq: sounds like something with a big spear, lots of nasal hair and lives on Tatooine in Star Wars! My bet is the toy will be cheaper but not much better and there will be less of them. A more consolidated approach is what is needed in the current market (heck they are merging for one reason only: merge or sink). Also how is Microsoft going to re-act to this? Microsoft and the iPaq have been tag teaming since the get go. Are HP open to Microsoft or will they try and use their big-combined stick to beat the bush a bit. All I want is a handheld I can open up, logon to CodeProject.com and keep up to date with the forums on the train to work. (Hey maybe that way I will be able to catch up to Christian... yeah right and I am the dali lama) regards, Paul Watson Cape Town, South Africa e: paulmwatson@email.com w: vergen.org
