I believe that siemens makes a "black-box-cell-phone" with an RS-232 interface and some according software that can do what you need. But I havent got any details. The box exists - but I'm not sure if it is siemens that makes it. Good luck :) Do you know why it's important to make fast decisions? Hi, For a change this a question i can anwser! :D (I spend all day working with SMS/MMS/Email applications). In the UK there are a few companies which supply a "Virtual SIM", basiclly they host a phone number on their servers which, when it recieves a SMS will do a number of things, post the data to a url, send the sms to you via email or save it to a db from which there is a web interface for viewing messages. Theses VSIMS are not very cheap, £3000 for a bog standard number, not a gold number or a 5 digit code which can range in price from £5000 to £10000. I'm sure there companies where you that will do the same. Richard Green

Four ways u can do this that i have tried, use Oxygens SMS ActiveX Ctrl (www.oxygensoftware.com), Nokia's SDK (Com based), The extended AT command set, or use a web based sms portal like www.smsdriver.com. I hope that helps, Cheers. I know that Nokia and Ericsson make these devices. I haven't heard of the Siemens one though. Look here www.derdack.com They've got everything from a COM object for SMS to an application server for mobile applications. Mobile banking could be easily accomplished with message master xsp. PS: I work for that company... :)

You may wish to you ICQ. With ICQ you can send SMS messages to any supported mobile phone company and even recieve SMS messages into ICQ (all it's all for free). You may want to check ICQ's web site for any API you may use so you can write your own customise software for sending and reciving SMS messages. Nir Levy.
