Attaching an equalizer to Streaming Music

I've been trying to attach an equalizer to the streaming music with no success. I tried Windows Media Player, but the moment you cast the music to a device, Equalizer has no effect. I installed Spotify, & Installed a chrome plugin to do the equalizer job. But again, the moment I cast the audio to my music player device, Equalizer is cut off. The raw audio is going straight from Spotify to the music system. Any help? Equalizer - Spotify[^]

Would a Virtual Audio Cable (VAC)[^] be of any help?
