sort of a repost since the other ones talked about a leaked beta, and this is the official beta.

Is there a way to MSN messenger and chat with AOL IM users? Everyone seems to have one of those. My article on a reference-counted smart pointer that supports polymorphic objects and raw pointers

I'll pass. I use trillian[^]. No ads, just as many emoticons. Let's me talk to AIM/ICQ/MSN/Yahoo/IRC all at the same time with a single client. --

Trillian doesn't support Yahoo chat rooms though. Elaine :rose: The tigress is here :-D

Heres any easy way to do this. Find an old box laying around and install FreeBSD on it. Then install KDE3 and Gaim. Gaim has plugins for even the most obsure chat protocols including napster. It also has a handy spell check plugin that can be set up so that if you don't realize that your chat window has focus and not your password window it can mask it (I suffered this way too many times) Also checking the sourceforge website it is http://sourceforge.net/projects/gaim/[^] also available for Win32. But the first way is more fun :) Matt Newman Post best viewed with lynx

I like MSN only because it easy for my parents to use. I use GAIM at my end but tell my family to use MSN. The new MSN 6 is awesome for them because its simplicity. With this new version 6, I using it at my end until GAIM catches up (never will?!?!) with all this new stuff in version 6. Tell your folks about it.
