I have to edit an icon for an application I'm currently doing, so I did what I normally do: I installed my trusted, old Microangelo (which I have actually bought a license for many years ago) on my development computer and fired it up. Then it suddenly dawned on me: Damn, that interface looks old, and brings back semi-pleasant memories of Visual Basic 3 and 4!!! :omg: Turns out, I bought the license FIFTEEN years ago! So I thought: Maybe it's about time to get with the program and get myself a more modern icon editor. My choice of the day was Junior Icon Editor[^] (no affiliation!) I downloaded the installation file and started it up. And as usual, I was presented with a license agreement box I had to agree or disagree with. But the ONLY text in the box was "Junior Icon Editor is free." Couldn't help but laugh. Finally a license agreement I could understand and had the patience to read... Why don't more companies take after that?  Apart from that: I got a more modern interface, but it still looks very much like Microangelo, and the functionality is so similar that I get the feeling it's the same program in new clothes... :~
