any recommendation for good AV receiver to build home theatre?
-
I bought an AV receiver(Pioneer) long time ago, but it was broken after one year due to some dust falling into the chassis I guess. Now I get time to work on my home theatre system. Any recommendation on solid, robust AV receiver?

I haven't the slightest clue. EVERYONE I know uses their computer/phone/tablet now to stream movies. The few people that watch movies on their TV do so with smart TVs that are wired to the internet, and have great built in speakers or they get the speaker bar and plug it into their TV. Good luck with that most ancient of technologies. :-D

I upgraded from a moderate priced Cambridge Audio Topaz SR10 Receiver to an expensive but still considered entry level Hi-End Jadis Orchestra Black Integrated Amplifier and found I was transfixed by the quality of its' Tube sound It made music more musical Below is a link to my system The Cambridge Audio gear on top is now being replaced w/ streaming gear - Cheerio If you wish to consider tube gear you might examine Black Ice Audio It is considered low priced Then there is Chinese high end audio Some consider them highly and are low in price relatively speaking but seem to offer only low output so you may need efficient speakers Where I am: Member Photos Discussion Boards[^]

I pick a budget $ number then check the flyers. Usually I find some monster on sale somewhere ("last year's model"?). Yamaha. Denom. And I ask them to throw in the cables.
